Dr Andreas Gruchow
Company Name: Deutsche Messe AG, Hannover Job Title: Member of the Board Since April 2008, Dr. Gruchow has been a Member of the Managing Board of Deutsche Messe in Hannover. He is responsible for all global activities, i.e. all exhibitions and events outside Germany, the abroad subsidiaries, worldwide representatives, global alliances and cooperations (i.e. the CEO for the Global Fairs and Activities of Deutsche Messe). Earlier, he was Senior Vice President of the International Trade Fairs division also at Deutsche Messe and in charge of events like DOMOTEX, LIGNA, BIOTECHNICA and INTERSCHUTZ etc. Notable accomplishments in this capacity: significant expansion of overseas trade fair operations, establishing events such as DOMOTEX Asia/Chinafloor (Shanghai), WoodMac China (Shanghai), BIOTECH China (Shanghai) among others. He also expanded collaborations and alliances with other global players in the trade fair business abroad as well as for Hannover. During that time he also was the General Manager of Fachausstellungen Heckmann GmbH, a subsidiary of Deutsche Messe, organising B2C events/consumer events. He joined Deutsche Messe in March 1994 as Director of the “EXPO 2000” – the first world exhibition in Germany. Dr. Andreas Gruchow was born in 1964. He studied at the University of Hannover and graduated with Ph.D. (Dr.-Ing.) in Mechanical Engineering. |
