| Chris Meyer, CMP, CEM Company Name: Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority Job Title: Vice President of Sales Chris Meyer, CMP, CEM has been in the exhibitions and events industry since 1984. He has extensive experience in the hotel, meetings and sales area. He is currently Vice President of Sales for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA). Prior to joining LVCVA, he held numerous sales and marketing management positions with multiple hotels, resorts and casinos in Las Vegas. He is a 1984 graduate, University of Nevada, Las Vegas majoring in Business Administration/Management Information Systems. He is actively involved with IAEE and currently serves as chairman of the IAEE Board of Directors. He is also involved in MPI, Las Vegas Hospitality Association, Destination Marketing Association International and the Las Vegas SKAL Club. Chris has received numerous industry awards including: Sands Expo Manager of the Year, SKAL Board Member & President in 1997; Export Achievement Award, US Department of Commerce; Entered in Congressional Record for “Trade Show Trade Missions,” and “Industry Leader of the Year” Las Vegas Hospitality Association. |
